Isaac the KING and more!

Oey Vey! Isaac has been testing me lately...or is it GOD who is testing me. The attitude, the looks, the talking back of a nine year old is getting to my core! UGH! God, please give me the patience and the tools to use and allow me to be Your instrument to reach my/YOUR son.

Last night, after a horrific moment with Isaac, well, not that bad~but I will not tolerate the looks and talking back, I grounded my son from the computer and friends until May 8th (he loves Club Penguin and on May 8th is the sites Medieval Party). After sending him to his room, 15 minutes later, he walks down with his bible open and reading it. He comes to me and asks, "mom, where is King Isaac in the bible." - OOOOOHHHH...he is good! After taking a deep breath and praying silently, I sat down with him and showed him each book and verse where Isaac is found in the bible. He went back up to his room and read that bible for one half hour. Oh Lord, what ever it is You are doing, keep it up. I know there is goodness, no Greatness in my son....but can You get rid of the button pushing of mom part?

Tomorrow is my darling friends memorial service. I do not want to go, but I know I have to go to heal and let closure happen. I miss her so much. I want to call her. I want to see her.

Iris had her first dance (5th GRADE)...OMGOSH! Here is what happened. The dance was during the day, after lunch. All of 5th and 6th grade (ONLY) were allowed in the gym. Remember the scenario? Girls one side and boys on the other. Times, my friends, have not CHANGED! It was funny to hear Iris tell me about it. Several girls danced with each other, but that was about it. What an innocent hoot!

God Bless,

Linds

It's gotta be the age, bcuz, seriously...my nine year old is doing the exact same thing! Uh, if I could just get rid of the attitude alone....
