New Beginnings!

Last night, the Easter Bunny came early as my sister went into labor with her second child.

I wish I was there, but the phone was my friend, until about 2 am, then I conked out!

Vanessa Marie Olvera was born this morning at 5 am. Weighing in at 7-1/2 lbs and 19 inches long, she is a healthy and beautiful image of God! Thank you Lord.

Her name was hidden from us, family, until she came into the world. For those of you who do not know, the name Vanessa is close to our heart. 25 Years ago, I had a niece named Vanessa and a niece named Alicia. Vanessa died when she was two, and Alicia became my sister. There is a nursery in Vanessa's name in Spokane Washington, if you want to look it up.

I am proud of my sister and her husband. I am proud that they have created a beautiful daughter. I just know, in my heart, that my darling niece, Alicia's biological sister, is smiling down at them right now.

So, darling nephew Aiden, look OUT - There is a baby girl in the house! :)
