Well, I did it!
I woke up at 5:30am this morning and drove to University of Nevada, Reno Campus to take the paper based Praxis MATH test! I think I did well, but will know the results in 4 weeks. I don't know if I can handle another MATH test! Please Lord, I asked for Your wisdom and the tools to do each problem correctly. Your turn now...please?
On the home front....Healing!!!
On my way home from taking the test, I have usually called Christy to tell her, FREAD, I TOOK IT! We would laugh and laugh each time we would take and pass or fail a test (there are so many to take in obtaining a teaching degree - ugh). As I hit the freeway towards home...Who was I going to call? Hubby was at son's baseball game, so that was no good. I thought of another team mate, but I knew she would be busy with Teacher Work Sample. Ya know who I called? GOD!
God, thanks for answering the heart phone on the way home and listening today.
It is time to begin that letter to Christy's mom about the memories I have had with her daughter and what I have learned from her. With the Math test behind me now, I thought I could do it. I started this evening, but struggled. Not ready. Lord, Please give me the words.

Iris asked me today, "mommy, what is something that I accomplished without fear this year?" - HELLO - Conquering Joining a team with boys, learning the sport of BASKETBALL, and making your first BASKET! She will be turning 11 this coming Thursday! Thanks God.
