Hope Valley, California!
Arriving there, I felt God tugging at my arm telling me to "Give Him Glory". I did, the ENTIRE weekend! We found a spot in a beautiful secluded meadow near the river. No one was around. It was just Don, myself, Iris, Isaac, Charlie Bucket, and Cody soaking up God's glory.
We played football, baseball, Isaac caught his first fish, and Iris roasted "BACON" over the fire. I chose not to have SMORES because Iris has headgear now and cannot have chocolate or marshmellows - so she went through the Ice Box in the trailer and found BACON to grill. It was YUMMY and very creative.
We went to bed early and rose to the sunrise and deer running through the meadow. As we hiked, while the boys fished, Iris and I picked God's Glorious mixture of flowers throughout the forrest. Of course, the trailer doesn't hold a vase, so we found one of dad's empty beer bottles. What a final topping to the table setting.
Though gas is expensive, we took our jar money and drove about an hour to the sierra's. Well worth it! We are going again in three weeks! What are your plans for the summer?
