Well, my little girl is spending the night with one of her BFF's.
About two hours ago, I get a phone call from her mother in utter "sorryyyyness." "The girls have cut each others hair, and it is all my fault, because I wasn't watching them."
Number One: The girls are TEN years old. They know better.
Number Two: What did you do when you were TEN? I know I did some pretty crazy stuff, and am laughing about them today. I remember, when I was 16, before my first date with a guy, I cut my bangs when they were WET (that is how I saw my hairdresser do them back then)...Well, GEEZ, they were SHORT and I was totally embarrassed. But my date didn't say anything. Was he grossed out, to in shock not to laugh, or just a nice guy. I choose the third!
Number Three: Hair grows back!
I drive over to survey the damage. I walk in and my daughter is in hysterics and crying with apologizes every other sob.
After settling her and her BFF down, I told her that it would grow back and if she wanted to spend the night and day with her BFF tomorrow, I would have to even it out and on Monday, we would go to my favorite hairdresser. She agreed, through her sobs!
So....in the end, my darling girl will have a new look and a lesson learned (I hope).
Positives? #1: Hair GROWS Back!, #2: I have always said she would look cute in short hair, #3: It might make her hair thicker, and #4: She smiled after I was done!
