Wonder Woman vs. Bordertown

By now you know, we have an adorable cat named Boo Banning. He is 6 years old and one of our precious babies. He is part of this family 100%.

He likes to put himself in precarious places for napping. Today, the windows were down in the truck, after Don cleaned it for our road trip tomorrow. Boo decided to climb in and snooze.

I found him in there, snoozing, and left him in there, thinking nothing of it. Don decided to check the oil in the truck and the dipstick was low.

Not thinking to tell Don about the cat, he drove off to BORDERTOWN to get oil for the truck. Now folks...Bordertown is about 6-7 miles away and across the freeway.

About 5 minutes after he left, my adorable mother in law reminded me that Boo was in the truck. I took off in the car, burning rubber all the way. What I did not know is that he was going to Bordertown and I thought he was driving to 7-11. I drove to 7-11 - No Don, No Truck, No Cat!

I came home. Don came home. No cat!

Don ensured me that Boo was not in the truck when he left. He told me where he went...I went over there...and NO CAT!

I prayed, we ate dinner, Iris and I went to Bible Study.

Bible Study lets out at 8:30/dark!!! Iris and I decided to miss our exit home and take the next one. With tears in our eyes and hope in our hearts, we talked to the Gas Station Attendents and Casino people...They saw Boo!

Raining and cold...we parked our car and started calling our baby! We heard a small cry get louder. Then it happened....

Behind Bordertown is the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is rugged and full of you name it!

There was a wooden fence, taller than I (5'6") and Boo Banning was on the other side. Little Miss Iris, who I have re-named Wonder Woman, climbed that fence faster then Boo could complete his Meow and grabbed him. She pushed him towards me...I grabbed his neck...and...

Boo Banning is home!

Wonder Women bruised her ankle, but didn't know it until we got home. The power of faith, hope, and love overcame her.

Welcome Home Boo and I love you Wonder Woman!
