Returning home from a day with medical people (for a friend and myself), my children returned from school.
Iris is getting ready for her 3 day excursion at Science Camp in Taho (leaves Wednesday morning) and she is already packed and ready to go. Don taught her how to roll and stuff a sleeping bag. All she has left is to put the contents of her list in the duffle bag. I will miss her, as I have never been without her for more than one night. I know she will have a BLAST though. Though my babies argue alot, I received a gift yesterday. Walking down the stairs, I heard and viewed Isaac giving her a Huge hug telling her that he will miss her (AWWWWWWWW.)
Isaac returned home from school, raided the fridge, and started on his homework (good JOB son.)
5:00 rolls around - dinner is on the table and Don walks through the door. I, literally, do not know how the following came about...but here ya go....
I looked at Isaac's shoes - THEY ARE SHREDDED! Hmmm....Let me imagined how that happened~nah~do not want to go there. Now listen...You already have read that Isaac is an extremist (positive and negative) - he gives his 100% in every direction.
I take pride in what my children wear to school (doesn't every mother?) My son CANNOT go to school tomorrow with shredded Hi-tops.
Well....after dinner....guess where he and I ended up? LEDGENDS OUTLET MALL! Love that new place. Though, it is a drive INTO town and THROUGH town, it is worth it.
Isaac walked out with two pairs of shoes (VANS), laces and a beanie (Converse), a hug, and a smile.
Ugh! Every two mos, lately, I am taking that boy out to buy something new in regards to shoes and pants. I just have this feeling, that is gets Better with the money for him - NOT!
Iris is older, and is not one to "seek to look like others". She is not a needy person, but a lovely person. Though, I see, sometimes, in her eyes, she does desire those "everyone else has them" look and I do treat her often. She is my little mommy. She gets excellent grades, and is learning to make excellent decisions. You go girl!
Isaac is starting to define his identy and is an AWESOME skater. His "skinny skater" jeans, his beanie's, his "TIGHT" and "SIC" shoes, and his cool laces and skater shirts. But ya know what? It is all good.............I desire for my children to find themselves, at one point, and go with it. AS LONG as it is a positive image.
He is an awesome skater, for being 10.
