A Little Hope!

Every time I am approached, by a homeless person, I pray and ask God if it is truth and if it is, I give. A few months ago, I was approached by a young male adult in a parking lot of a place where I was shopping. He was so humble and so dirty, that I KNEW he needed a good meal. I led him back into the grocery store and bought him the biggest deli sandwich I could find, a bag of chips, and the biggest bottle of water.

Earlier this year, I saw an adult male asking for help to shoppers who came out of a grocery store. I do not know if they helped him, however, I remember, I had two McDonald's cheeseburgers left over from lunch with the children. I gave them to him. I cried silently, while driving away....he was scarfing them down (he was so hungry.)

Today, on my husbands 45th birthday, we met for lunch. There was a man standing in front of the eatery. I feel ashamed, as I did not notice him at first. My husband did.

We ordered, and he ordered extra, which is not usual for him. I just thought he was extra hungry. He ate his ordered meal, but left a few things un eaten. I told him to eat. His response was, "it is not for me, but for him," as he pointed to the man outside standing by the garbage can.

I hurried and finished what I could, which I COULDN'T after those words. My husband, quickly, went outside to give the man the extra ordered food....Where did HE GO? That man was gone! UGH! We drove around and looked for him dearly. WHERE DID HE GO? UGH!

No, we never found that man. Tonight, I offer a prayer up for this man. Lord? You are the only ONE who knows HIM and will care for HIM. Lead Him and Your children to meet. Feed him, comfort him, and give him peace. Thank You Father.

I am proud of my husband. He has done this before, lots.....as I have seen many times. However, this day, on his birthday, he chose not of himself, but of another who needed it more.

The perfect picture of Christ.

Thank You Father!
