H1N1 - Yes, You read that correctly!

Alright,

The past two days have been hectic in our home. We returned, from a lovely weekend with family, to flu for Iris. Normally, I would have just treated her with meds, fluids, rest, and lots of love...however, the virus (named up above) is in our community and has affected some of her friends.

Today, was a little horrific, a little humorous, but well worth it! She and I went to see the MD to get checked. The doctor took her symptoms seriously and swabbed her nose (painful - my little baby - I think that was the hardest for me to see and hear), then we waited. We were NOT allowed outside of the examining room until the verdict came back. We hit the nurses up for water and magaizines. We even tried to get one of them to go get us dinner (it was, after all 5:00pm.) - no luck! We waited. We waited. We waited.

The laughter happened while we waited in the office. We watched TV and laughed at all of the commercials - Ah media is crazy, isn't it? It is funny and so awesome to see my daughters eyes and mind open up to more of life.

After about an hour....NEGATIVE! Thank you LORD!

I am grateful that I took her in. She is relieved as well, through her words and actions.

Wash those hands, throw those tissues away after the first use, and cover your mouth when you cough friends.

Stay Healthy!
